I'm a hairstylist by education, trade, and profession! I prefer to be called a hair guru. Hairstylist is a title that usually belongs to a job. A hair guru is a magician who transcends all obstacles in order to provide a special experience, every time to every person . My love affair with hair started in my youth. Born in the mountainous region on the island of Puerto Rico and raised in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, I spent countless hours doing hair for my friends, of all races and ethnicities. I cultivated my craft in NYC salons and after 20 years in the hair business, I still wake up eager to create and help people discover what 'character' they are or who they have the ability to become -- all because of hair! I live in New York with my husband, two children and my fur babies.
